ITALTEST technicians are all qualified for the following methods:
LT / PT / RT / UT / MT / VT
to Level 2 SNT-TC 1A and ISO 9712
in addition to the presence of 2 Level 3 Technicians

All activities are conducted and regulated according to current regulations and specifications
(ANSI – ASTM – EN – PED – MSS – etc.),
or specific customer regulations and specifications.

OVER 50 YEARS OF HISTORY

ITALTEST was established in 1965 mainly for non-destructive and industrial tests on nuclear plants at the EURATOM research facilities in Ispra (VA) for ECO and ESSOR reactors and at C.N.E.N. in Saluggia (VC) for the EUREX plant.

Activities later expanded to system design, petrochemical, metallic, and non-metallic infrastructure sectors.

Following new market applications, the company tended to focus its attention and staff on creating specific and appropriate test techniques for the casting and precision casting sectors since the eighties and specifically on valves, using suitable equipment and structures and solutions fully compliant with current regulations on workers and human protection against ionising radiations.

The company implemented and maintains a Quality Management System organised as per European regulation EN-ISO 9001 that permitted the improvement of various processes through the attentive analysis of corporate management activities.
Furthermore, it obtained PED certification in 2007.

2025: 60th Anniversary

In 2025, ITALTEST celebrated its 60th anniversary, reaffirming its position as a benchmark in the industrial inspection sector thanks to continuous investment in technological innovation, staff training, and regulatory updates.

Over six decades of experience, ITALTEST has developed advanced expertise in the main Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, including Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Industrial Computed Tomography, as well as Level 3 consulting services. The company operates on components, welded structures, plants, and materials across a wide range of industrial sectors.

The company supports clients in the energy, petrochemical, manufacturing, infrastructure, and marine industries, ensuring high quality standards, reliability of results, and compliance with national and international regulations.

Non-Destructive Testing and Weld Repairs

ITALTEST has a workshop for repairing valves, castings, investment casting, piping and welding.

The company is equipped with a box truck for material transport.
All control activities are carried out both on site and at the customers' premises.
