Rope Access High Altitude NDT
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
for rope access Non-Destructive Testing at high altitudes
There are numerous applications for non-destructive testing with ropes. It is often used, for example, to inspect paint and other coatings in places that are difficult to access using ordinary equipment:
Inspections of the elevated areas of plant facilities, pylons, offshore platforms, antennas, posts, bridges and wind turbines
Inspections in deep and/or confined spaces such as wells and reservoirs
Inspections of roofs and walls of buildings
Inspection of sea walls

DETECTABLE CHARACTERISTICS
of rope access inspection
Applicability of non-destructive investigations at high altitudes in limited access extreme environments.
- Visual Testing (VT)
- Measurement of paint and other coatings
- Positive Material Identification (PMI) with or without carbon detection
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Penetration Testing (PT)
- Magnetic Testing (MT)
- Radiographic or Gammagraphic Testing (RT)
- Hardness Testing (HT)
- Ferrite Testing (FT)
FUNCTIONALITY
of rope access inspections
Complete adaptability to work in any environment.
Rope access non-destructive tests are particularly advantageous on account of the fact that they eliminate the costs of assembling scaffolding or renting aerial platforms since they allow for specialized personnel to carry out NDT operations while secured by safety cables.
